Employee Insurance Configuration - Old-Age and Survivors' Insurance/Unemployment Insurance Compensation Fund

To supplement the information from the AVS/AC (Old-Age and Survivors' Insurance/Disability Insurance) Compensation Fund for an employee:
  1. On the Employee page , activate the Insurance tab, then:
    1. Click the New button at the bottom left of the tab to create a new insurance configuration; or
    2. Double-click on the insurance line you wish to modify:



  2. The Insurance Configuration page appears. Enter the required information in the AHV/AVS Compensation Fund tab :



    1. Old-age and survivors' insurance (OASI)/unemployment insurance (UI) compensation fund : Compensation fund associated with the employee. To add or modify a fund, click on the Manage button represented by the three small dots … to the right of the OASI/UI compensation fund drop-down list, then consult the article Create an OASI/UI compensation fund .
    2. Submission to the Old-Age and Survivors' Insurance (OASI) : Several options are available:
      1. Subject to AVS : Persons subject to AVS contributions.
      2. AVS pension beneficiary : Persons exempt from contributions as AVS pension beneficiaries.
      3. Young people : People not yet subject to AVS due to their age.
      4. Special cases, persons not subject to Old-Age and Survivors' Insurance (OASI ): Individuals exempt from OASI for specific reasons. For example, in Switzerland, individuals not insured under EU bilateral agreements, and expatriates moving from abroad to Switzerland. Individuals with an annual salary of less than CHF 2,300 are subject to OASI/Supplementary Unemployment Insurance (OASI/Supplementary Disability Insurance) only upon request.

    3. Degree of kinship with the holder : If applicable, indicate the relationship to the business owner (useful in agricultural operations). This field is used for calculating total wages for compensation funds.
  3. Click the OK button to validate and close the Insurance Configuration .
